The American Bar Association is considering eliminating Standard 503, which requires law schools to use standardized tests as part of their admission process.
In an April 25th memo, the ABA recommends “…making the use of an admission test by law schools optional”.
The ABA Section of Legal Education and Admission will meet again on May 20th. Modifying the current Standard 503 is on their agenda — and so it’s possible that standardized tests — such as LSAT & GRE — will no longer be required for admission to Law School….
