Library Week has a long and (no pun intended!) storied history, with the American Library Association celebrating the second week in April to recognize the continuing contributions of our profession. During this second week of April, it’s good to think — and perhaps thank! — all the librarians in our lives. Public libraries and librarians provide not only books, DVDs, CDs, and research assistance but also — story time hours, reading clubs, game and film nights and a sense of community that instills civic pride. This week — make sure your thank a librarian and show your support for libraries year round….
