You probably know that November 11th is known as Veterans Day, a Federal Holiday….

But did you know that November 11th officially became Veterans Day on June 1, 1954 (P.L. 280)?

But did you know that after the 1968 Uniform Holiday Act (P.L. 90-363) moved Federal Holidays to Mondays , Veterans Groups lobbied to have their day moved back to November 11th.

You probably know someone who is a Veteran…..

This Veterans Day — The New York Law Institute extends its thanks to all Veterans… and hope that some check out NYLI’s various legal research sources and consider becoming NYLI members!
