Prompt Engineering & Chatbots in Libraries

NYLI’s Director of Innovation & Engagement, Ellyssa Valenti Kroski will be presenting the following webinar for The Florida Libraries Network:

This 1-hour webinar will discuss prompt engineering techniques for use with general large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Claude AI including the Costar Framework, zero shot, few shot, and chain of thought prompting among others. Prompt engineering techniques for interacting with retrieval augmented generation (RAG) models such as JSTOR, Proquest, WorldCat, and others will also be discussed. This webinar will also discuss how to train and build custom chatbots based on LLMs for internal research, marketing, current awareness and more.
