Lucy Curci-Gonzalez, The New York Law Institute’s very own Executive Director, has been nominated to receive Special Library Association’s New York Community’s Dana Gordon Special Librarian of the Year Award. The award recognizes a professional librarian for outstanding achievement and accomplishments reflecting the shared purpose and goals of the library profession.
A past member of the American Association of Law Libraries AALL Board and active in its Private Librarians and Informational Professionals SIS and a former president of LLAGNY , Lucy has been active in SLA since her library school days.
The award cites Lucy’s many activities in support of SLA including her hosting of the joint SLA/LLAGNY conference feedback seminar in 2019 and taking part in the NY Community speed networking event in 2019 and a similar joint DC and NY Community event in May 2021. She is a regular attendee at the Managers’ Roundtable events and Lucy’s informed contributions are always appreciated.
A graduate of Columbia University’s School of Library and Information Science program and a proud special and law librarian for her entire career, Lucy is a true evangelist for the librarian profession.
